Terms and Conditions

 

1.   The STS program is intended to encourage and support undergraduates interested in research and all efforts have been made to provide accurate information, however Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), will not be responsible for any loss to any person caused by inaccuracy in the information available on this Website. Any discrepancy found may be brought to the notice of ICMR

2.   For STS 2010 program the last Date for receiving ONLINE completed applications with research proposal and related enclosures is 21st February, 2010 (extended).  No hard copies should be sent to the Council. Applications made on forms of last year will not be accepted.

3. The proposal should give in detail the original work proposed to be carried out by student during two months under the Guide and should not be copied from earlier research/ thesis /other sources.

4.   With the increasing number of interested students applying for STS the Council streamlined the submission and approval process and students must follow the updated instructions and use the updated forms provided on the website (www.icmr.nic.in).

5.   Incomplete applications/ proposals will not be considered. ICMR reserves the rights to approve/disapprove a project proposal upon evaluation.

6.   The Council reserves right for no further discussion on rejected/ incomplete applications/ research proposals / late submissions to the Council.

7.   Requests for providing the following information shall not be entertained:

·         Reasons for rejection of STS applications

·         Names and contact details of students/ guides/ reviewers

·         Any other details of any student/ Guide

·         Titles of STS projects- approved/ disapproved

·         Scientific details of STS projects of students

·         Minutes of STS meetings

·         Marks/ scores

·         Or any other confidential information

8. The Council shall make all efforts to ensure the information about participating students/ guides/ scientific reports (soft copies) remain confidential and in safe custody, the council will not be responsible for any unintentional loss of any kind due to unforeseen reasons.
