Instructions for STS 2010 1. The Council is in the process of switching to online system for STS 2010. Application & research proposal therefore must be submitted ONLINE to the Council by 21st February, 2010 extended. Applications received after this date will not be considered. In case the student is not familiar with computer/ online submission he may seek the help of guide/ professional in this regard. Application form will be available on ICMR Website from 15th January 2010 - 21st February 2010(extended) . 2.
Each STS application and research proposal should be
submitted along with duly filled in and signed Attestation Form (signed by
student, guide, Head of the Deptt, and Head of Institution). No
applications will be accepted if unaccompanied by
Attestation Form

The application form
has to be filled in and submitted online as per detailed instructions
provided. No hard copies of the proposal shall be received or considered.
Paper Applications or applications on forms of previous year will not be
considered.
4. The student should have all documents ready before filling up online application form (All documents to include research proposal/ attestation form / other enclosures like IEC approval, ICF, Case record forms etc). 5. Only permanent faculty members working in any of the Department of the Medical college where the student is enrolled, can act as the guide. Part time consultants/visiting faculty/ residents/ PG students cannot be the guide. 6. Not more than one student will be allowed to work under one guide. Proposals submitted on the same topic by different students are liable to be rejected outright. 7. In case more than one application is submitted by a student / Guide, all applications will be automatically rejected. 8. Students who were unable to complete their STS 2009 project can re-apply for STS 2010 with the same project. 9. Please note that this program is only for undergraduate medical students (MBBS/BDS) and therefore, any applications received from students doing their internship would not be considered. Students of paramedical/non-medical courses may not apply. 10.
