Doctoral Thesis: The study was to determine the compositional heterogeneity of heterochromatic regions of chromosomes using AT specific DNA binding ligand in murine derived L cell line, Mus musculus (in vivo) and human lymphocyte tissue culture

13. Role: Principal investigator: Psychosocial needs and stressors among HIV infected people with reference to partner support issues. Sponsored by NACO. Study completion report has been submitted to NACO, 2010

12. Role: Principal investigator: Community preparedness for phase-IHIV vaccine trial in India. Sponsored under tripartite agreement between ICMR, NACO and International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI).COMPLETED

11. Role: Site Principal Investigator [Pune]: Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Task Force Study entitled: A multicentric study on reproductive and sexual health education for adolescents (ARSHE). The study involved six sites in six states in India. Sponsors: Indian Council Medical Research (ICMR), Government of India. COMPLETED

10. Role: Co-investigator Study of stigma and discrimination among health care providers: collaboration with Yale University, USA. COMPLETED 

9. Role: Principal Investigator: A pilot study on anxiety and depression among voluntary counseling and testing center attendees. This was a pilot study funded by National AIDS Control Organization, INDIA. COMPLETED

8. Role: Site Principal Investigator: A multicentric study involving Thailand, China, India and US were conducted to assess willingness to participate in HIV vaccine trial among STD clinic attendees. The study was conducted at three STI clinics and one RTI clinics in Pune, India. International-data is being analyzed. COMPLETED

7. Role: Principal investigators of the HVTN sub-study: Willingness to participate in HIV vaccine trial. This was a clinic based study and sub-study of Indo-US collaborative study HVTN funded by NIH. The manuscript has been published in Vaccine (First Author).

6. Role: Co-investigator: Qualitative study to investigate women’s perspective and concern about mother to child transmission in the ongoing NACO’s study at 11 sites in India-‘Short term therapy of AZT- a feasibility study to prevent mother to child transmission’. This study was conducted at three sites in Maharashtra state-Pune, Sangli and Mumbai. Report has already been submitted to National AIDS Control Organization (NACO), India. Paper has been published in Culture Health and Sexuality. (Co-Author)
