    Research Experience:
  • Investigation of suspected viral encephalitis outbreaks in human and animals.
  • The development of a rapid ELISA test for the diagnosis of Arbovirus infections in equines.
  • The cultivation of Rickettsia (Coxiella burnetti, Orientia tsutsugamushi) in tissue culture for the preparation of antigen for the diagnostic test. Screening of human serum samples for suspected rickettsial infection by Immunofluorescent Antibody test (IFA).
  • Screening of animal serum samples against Coxiella burnetti infection by Complement fixation (CF) test.
  • Worked as Junior Research fellow in a CSIR project entitled, Physiological studies of Insect Pests treated with Microbial Pathogens at School of Biological Sciences, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, Tamilnadu for a period of 18 Months.
  • Worked as Junior Research fellow in a CSIR Project entitled, Monitoring of Insect Population in Palani Hills Environment, at School of Biological Sciences, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, Tamilnadu , for a period of 6 Months.
  • Administrative experience:

    1. Time to time nominated by the Director, NIV in various selection committees,
    2. Nominated by the Officer-In-Charge, MCC in various committees for the selection, negotiation and purchase of laboratory equipments for Microbial Containment Complex, Pashan, Pune.
