It is a monthly in-house periodical of the Council. It is published with the main aim of disseminating to various target groups, the results of medical research and information on major research activities being carried out under the aegis of ICMR. The Bulletin has entered the 28th year of uninterrupted publication in 1998. Currently more than 7500 copies of the Bulletin are being printed each month. 

It is not only becoming more popular with various categories of biomedical scientists and medical students, but it has also registered increasing popularity among the media personnel. 

Apart from publishing regular features on topics of current biomedical interest, the ICMR Bulletin also features review articles, bring out special issues commemorating important events and national and international days of relevance such as NO Tobacco Day, World AIDS Day, World Health Day, Breast Feeding Week, etc. Quite often the articles published in the ICMR Bulletin are being featured as news stories in various newspapers( both Hindi and English). In addition, sometimes science magazines/ journals, Newsletters seek permission to articles published in the ICMR Bulletin. ICMR reproduce articles/ publish extracts of the  Bulletins of previous year are also available.
